I would like to add some tidbits -
Every 10 in Craft Weapon/Armor raises the quality of forged items by 1 tier. A helmet made with no investment might have +1 Intelligence or 5 cold resist, while 50 Craft Armor would make that +5 Intelligence or 25 cold resist!
Craft XP is 25 for basic fur and iron items, while more exotic materials like Targite give 50 XP. Will have to check what the other materials give, unless someone else knows.
10 is the base material cost for clothing, missile weapons, and one-handed weapons, while body armor and two-handed melee weapons cost 15.
The Mining talent yields bonus chunks from ore veins equal to your level in that talent. With a high investment in mining, your pickaxes will go very far!
Every material except animal hide and iron adds an innate property to the crafted item in addition to the random properties rolled. Bone makes body armor with regeneration, and vampiric weapons. Rubies make body armor with fire resistance, and weapons with fire damage. Aurlite crystals make body armor with cold resistance, and weapons with cold damage. Scales make body armor with piercing resistance. Targite makes body armor with +1 soak 5 DR, and weapons with +1 enhancement. For 20 Targite, you can reinforce an existing piece of non-Targite armor with +1 soak 5 DR.
You will always forge an item with at least Magic quality (green name) while there is a slight slight chance whatever you forge will be Rare (yellow name) or Legendary (purple name).
