- Vengeance/Mark for Death: Requires Ranger or Assassin levels Buff self with +AB/Damage against the target's racial type, while target and all other foes in 10 meters of them glow red and suffer penalty to AC and Saves = 1/5 your Spot skill for 4 rounds. Scales with more Ranger and Assassin levels. Uses the scaling benefit of whichever class is higher, if you have requisite levels of both Ranger and Assassin. If equal, defaults to Ranger.
Ranger 10 - Thorn Trap. Cast Spike Growth centered on marked target (Effectiveness based on WIS, Set Trap?) Ranger 20 - Ambuscade. Hail of lesser Snipe shots in the area of the marked targets; does not require a bow equipped. (Ranger comrades firing from the woods or other nearby cover. "But what about indoors?" Ain't ya ever seen a ranger hiding in a barrel before?? No, you haven't, because they are just that stealthy.)
Assassin 10 - Renowned Killer. Cast Fear centered on marked target (Assassin's reputation precedes them. DC 10 + Assassin level + INT mod. Spell-like ability, no SR check, like PDK's STR-based fear spell.) Assassin 15 - Red Lotus. Throw a gas grenade centered on marked target. Cloudkill visual. Poisons and Slows victims, and inflicts acid damage.) Assassin 20 - Death Dealers. Assassin & allies in 10m gain +2 AB and inflict +2d6 Cold Damage on attacks against marked target's race for 2 rounds.
(This skill also gives a way of cataloguing enemy race types so you know what Favored Enemies to pick on your Ranger characters, like Oath of Wrath except it's not limited to 1/day and doesn't force you to make a Purple Dragon Knight.)
- Whip Crack: Requires ... a whip Strike at slightly-longer-than-melee-range, inflicting Slashing/Sonic damage based on highest of DEX or STR. The sonic boom can also deafen and stun your target.
- Sunder: Requires any bludgeoning weapon (fists included?) Heavy melee strike that smashes the target's defenses and leaves them staggered. Inflict bludgeoning damage, Slow, and 20% vulnerability to damage. With Fighter or Barbarian 20+, or Dwarven Defender 15+, improve vulnerability effect to 40%.
- Hellfire: Requires Blackguard 10+ Gain Darkfire and a Fire Aura for a few rounds. If any attributes affect this skill, should be highest of CHA or STR.
- Heartseeker: Requires Assassin 10+, bladed or piercing melee weapon Attempt to slay your target in a single blow. Just a high damage strike, lower cooldown with more Assassin levels. Could gain a Death Magic effect with more Assassin levels, dunno.
- Vampiric Feast: Requires Palemaster 10+, Greater Spell Focus: Necromancy Mass Vampiric Touch, centered on caster
- Black Bolt: Requires a Crossbow, and Rogue, Assassin, or Blackguard levels Launch a powerful crossbow bolt (Acid Arrow projectile?) that deals acid and piercing damage, and applies CON poison
- Elemental Cascade: Requires wizard 11+? and Greater Spell Focus: Evocation? Simultaneously cast a Fireball, Lightning Bolt, and Ice Storm at your target. This skill could be on a staff or tome instead of a ring. Wizards have a harder time than sorcerers currently, so I was mostly just thinking of a freebie attack for them.
I realize this is basically a limited form of a Spell Sequencer, with the option checked so you can store and cast attack spells from them. Spell sequencers might be a good solution to some of the woes of non-sorcs, actually. (That feels more wizardy, so maybe Paladins and Clerics could pray or something to gain a rest effect so they can get their shit back; different topic though.)
- Fate of Bjuna / some other name that I didn't rip from Warhammer Fantasy???: Requires uhhhh Bard 17 and Spell Focus Enchantment Something like a Mass Tasha's Hideous Laughter, but also causes magic damage as enemies fall down and nearly laugh themselves to death.
- Thunder Shout: Requires Bard 8+? Fuckin yell at enemies super hard, cuz you're a bard. Cone of sonic damage, deafness, and stun. This could be on a bardic instrument like a horn, instead of on a ring?
- Stream of Corruption: Requires sorcerer, wizard, cleric, or druid 8+? and Evil Alignment. Vomit on your foes. Cone of Disease appearance. Inflict Acid damage based on highest of WIS, CHA, or INT. Also poison and disease enemies.
- Rancid Visitation / Pestilence: Requires sorc, wiz, cleric, or druid 15+? and Evil Alignment. Horrid Wilting + Stinking Cloud visual centered on you? Inflict Acid and Negative damage based on highest of WIS, CHA, or INT. Also poison and disease enemies.
- Soulfire: Requires Paladin or Cleric 10+, Good Alignment Bathe the area in holy flame, healing nearby allies and burning enemies. Bonus damage vs evil and undead?
